Math Games For 2nd Grade Kids App Reviews

My daughter (2nd grade) has struggled with certain aspects of math this year. I had Splash Math before and it helped her through tough times in 1st grade. I recently reactivated the app and she LOVES playing the games and reviewing what she has learned. It has helped her very much and she has made good progress!

This has been a great boost for my 2nd grader to get her math scores up. She is very motivated by the fish tank rewards, and seems to genuinely enjoy the format that the problems are presented in, and the virtual scratch paper. I like the weekly reports sent to my email so I can monitor her progress.

My second grade daughter uses Splash Math and we are seeing results! Her math test score is much higher and she easily completes her math homework! Thank you Splash Math!

Both of my kids love Splash Math! They routinely choose this app over plain gaming apps. It is a great practice tool to supplement basic addition/subtraction and multiplication tables learned at school. I often have to push to make sure homework is completed, but I never have to force Splash Math!

Math has never been more fun! We have a 1st and 3rd grader. The quality time they spend learning through Splashmath is amazing! Their confidence is increasing and with that so are their smiles. They even go back to practice lessons they havent achieved 100% on their own. Again....FUN!

Im a 2nd grade teacher. I thought this app would be good for classroom use, however, its mediocre at holding childrens attention and you only can put one childs name on (unless you pay per month for access). Also the ONE child gets 10 questions a day (again unless you pay a fee per month for access). Certainly not what I was looking for in an app.

Good concepts but need more characters in safari and more options for characters to continue to reward children with each coins

I love Splash Math for my classroom; however, I would love for there to be a time limit on the rewards section. It would also help for users to be deleted so when students leave the classroom more can be added.

This game only lets you do 10 questions a day in the free game. To do more, you have to subscribe for at least $8/month! Ive played other math games of better quality that let you do as many questions as you want. Im not satisfied!

The app offers number of math skills for kids to practice and is of huge help for reinforcing it.

Kids love it!! They ask to practice their math every night and have to be told its time to stop!! I love it applies concepts the same way they teach in school. Great app!!

I absolutely love this app!!! I studied at BYU to become a secondary math teacher before I decided to be a homemaker and homeschool my children. This is definitely curriculum quality material! My 6 yr old does very well on it! My 3 yr old son doesnt even understand how to play on it, but loves it so much he still tries! Definitely worth the investment!

After you download the app there are no features that you can try for free. Its a shame. It has an easy to navigate menu, but you cant try anything unless you pay first.

DONT BUY THIS APP. You are limited to 10 questions per day then they want you to pay....

I got this app when my son was in 1st grade and was struggling in math. He liked the game aspect and I liked that he was learning. Most of the standardized tests our school gives are on the computer so using the app also helped him become more used to answering questions electronically. I love the fact that it sends me weekly reports of his activity and how he did on certain subjects. Sometimes in my busy schedule I forget to check on his progress, so that email is very helpful. Now he is in 3rd grade and doing 4th/5th grade math. He is also above the 90th percentile in math!

I would recommend Splash Math as a great tool to learn or strengthen skills. Fun and interactive. Aligned to common core, progress reports and parent aides are excellent. Best math program I have found. Great investment ... Highly recommend. Rewards at the end of each section .... Points earned allow child to buy things for aquarium or jungle. We started using the second grade level with our daughter when her teacher advised she was struggling. Today she is moving past grade level and has gotten back her confidence. I would recommend setting weekly work goals, and sitting with your child when they first get started.

Since my son has started using this App, hes been having so much fun and excelling at his math tests at school. This App is easy and fun. I highly recommend it!
